An unnecessary war portrayed in a so necessary movie, directed by Stanley Kubrick, who was a weird man. His movies were also weird, but great, as exemplified in this scene where uncle Sam is about to severely screw up your mind, to a point that Private Pyle's mental status becomes everything but surmountable and entertaining for whoever is watching.
